How much does Jacob and Sons charge for packing services?
Packing Services
Standard Packing (Non-Full Pack)
We provide moving blankets at no extra cost to protect your furniture. For fragile items like glass, mirrors, or electronics, additional materials such as bubble wrap, cardboard, boxes, or plastic wrap are required and will incur extra charges. Please note:

Televisions must be properly packaged before loading onto the truck. Customers are responsible for removing TVs from wall mounts, as our team cannot unmount them.

Mattress covers are required for all mattresses, box springs, and futon pads for hygiene reasons but are not included in the standard service.

Full-Service Packing
Our full-service packing option covers all labor and materials needed to securely pack your belongings, including boxes, crates, wardrobes, dish packs, and specialized packaging for fragile items and TVs. With this option, all packing material and labor costs are included. Please note:

The number of boxes and space used will be finalized after packing is complete.

Packing Your Own Goods
Unless specified in your estimate, customers are responsible for packing their own boxes and fragile items, such as glass, mirrors, marble, and electronics. For health and safety reasons:

All mattresses, box springs, and futon pads must be protected with a mattress box or plastic cover.

Personal items in plastic bags are not permitted on the truck.

Packing supplies are not included in transportation costs and will incur additional fees if needed.

Furniture disassembly/reassembly may require extra labor or professional assistance. Please inform your estimator in advance to include these services in your quote.

Appliance disconnection/reconnection is not included in the estimate.

Reassembly of items is not guaranteed and depends on the availability of tools and parts at delivery.

How far in advance should you book movers?
If you are aware of your moving date several months in advance, we recommend securing your movers at that time. Should you have only one month’s notice, please reach out to your moving company immediately. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so to ensure you obtain your desired date, it is advisable to make your reservation as early as possible.
How much does Jacob and Sons charge for storage?
Storage must be arranged prior to the pickup of items. As a service to our valued customers, we are pleased to offer the first 30 days of storage at no charge. Following this complimentary period, customers may continue to utilize our storage services at the rate of $0.55 per cubic foot, with a minimum monthly fee of $180.00. Payment is due on the 1st of each month; please be advised that late fees will apply if payment is not received on time.
